another response to ignorance on pat gray's blog ksev

hey there “Unapologetic patriot”! could you be any cheesier? c’mon people. seriously, though. Oil prices will stay relatively high even if the US announces “we’re drillin’ now!! ho rah!” you’ll see. they’ve been showing some weakness from slightly declining domestic demand, but worldwide demand shows little weakness, and that will keep oil above the 110 mark. i personally think that the new floor is 120 dollars or so. all this being said, oil prices adjusted for inflation are still above the 1979 oil crisis peak. that peak was about $100 in 2008 dollars. so, you see, the market IS dictating consumers’ response to current facts. people are buying smaller cars, and taking public transport more. i think that this trend will continue, and no amount of new domestic drilling or “shale” will have more than a negligible effect on prices. upward pressure will remain on oil prices until demand decreases significantly, and that will not happen because of increasing usage in india, china, and the middle east. if anything, increased domestic drilling could possibly stabilize oil prices at current levels, which will continue to cause consumers to make different choices. HOORAY!!!!!!!!! like it or not, little D, lando, patsy and your ilk-the world is transforming itself. awwww…are you guys upset? i know that you see it coming-the wave of investment in public transportation, the electric vehicles and plugin hybrids on the way, gas at 4 or 5 dollars in the medium-term future, more emphasis on renewable energy. is it just your ignorance which drives you towards these conclusions? or is it to much hannatization and glenn beckkkkkianisms? why are you so against getting out of that suburban? why does your wacko anti-progress brigade insist that low gas prices are your god-given right? the size of your vehicle seems to be inversely proportional to the size of your package. this must be your problem. girls will still like you, even if you dont have four wheel drive to navigate this extreme environment. There ARE limits on consumption of natural and unnatural resources. you are seeing it happen in front of your face.

you still make me laugh prozak, thats why the drilling buble burst the day, the same freaking day, that bush removed the ban. And your stupid ban ends anyways!!!! Ha ha ha, and if republicans come out on top they won't renew it and we will be drilling all over the coast. Too bad for you that it ends in a little over a month.
